If you haven’t grabbed Dr. Dog’s new album Be the Void, I’d accept buying it now as an apology. As far as checking out this video, and giving their song “Warrior Man,” a listen and a view. Dr. Dog brought Be The Void back to their roots with raucous energy, and a youthful vibe. The album has a bit of a live sound to it, and represents their live shows quite accurately.

Check out the new track from Dr. Dog off their rapidly approaching Feb 7th release of Be the Void. “Lonesome,” a rickety track with gang chorals begging you to sing along and exclaim… “What does it take to be lonesome? Nothing at all!” The ramshackle sound of slide guitars, and the sing songy style of this track really whets the appetite for the album.

Dr. Dog is offering up Take Me Into Town—a brand new song free via Facebook—It’s great to hear some new music from this band, especially one that seems like it would have been one of the best songs on their most recent album, Shame, Shame. It’s a rough, jam / blues number that will have you bobbing your head in no time.

Dr. Dog - Stranger - Performance on Fallon last night was totally awesome. They sounded fantastic, and I look forward to a tour of their fantastic new album (out yesterday) Shame Shame.
Dr. Dog’s Shame Shame is out today. For those of you that didn’t tune in to the NPR stream…try before you buy. If it were me, I’d just buy it. It’s pretty good.
